The Harvest Mouse is a tiny knitted softie with a sweet, hunched little back. Claire gave this mouse a rounder, more settled shape than her earlier ones, so it really looks like it has paused mid-nibble. Short rows do the shaping, so the curves appear as you knit rather than through later seaming. The feet are the clever part, formed from wire and paper tape so the mouse can perch and pose. Claire calls it a quick knit, and a small project like this is perfect for using up leftovers. A row of Harvest Mouse figures on a shelf makes charming autumn decor, and one tucked into a gift bag always raises a smile. Thank Claire Garland for sharing this free knitting pattern.
